Sovereign Awarded $25M Contract with Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE)

Sovereign was awarded a $25M firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ), environmental multiple award contract (EMAC) for remedial actions at environmentally contaminated sites located primarily within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE) area of responsibility. Sovereign received the first task order, valued at $160,000, for the removal of debris from Solid Waste Management Unit at Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, South Carolina. Sovereign will perform environmental remedial actions, removal actions, remedial design, expedited and emergency response actions, pilot and treatability studies, remedial action systems operations and maintenance (O&M), and other activities associated with returning sites to safe and acceptable levels of contamination. Some remedial actions may include capping landfills, pump-and-treat remediation, bioremediation, soil vapor extraction, natural attenuation, bioventing, air sparging, thermal treatment, phytoremediation, soil washing, and free product recovery. States within the NAVFAC SE Area of Responsibility are South Carolina, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana.
