Sovereign Consulting Inc. Moves to Redeveloped Property at Chestnut Green in Foxborough
Sovereign has relocated its eastern Massachusetts office from Mansfield, MA to a new office space at the Chestnut Green complex in Foxborough, MA.
Sovereign is leasing approximately 12,000 square feet of office space in Suite 520 in a historic Victorian building, formerly an area of the former Foxborough State Hospital. In accordance with the guidelines from the Foxborough Historical Commission, Sovereign’s new location retains the building’s historical characteristics such as brick-and-mortar walls and 12-foot windows. The space also has 4 skylights, allowing substantial natural light to illuminate the office.
The property developer, Vinco Properties, completed restoration and rehabilitation of buildings at the former hospital campus in summer of 2009. Sovereign will join other professional service firms such as IBG Financial Partners, LLC and the Law Offices of Ballin & Associates, LLC in the Chestnut Green office complex.
Sovereign’s Foxborough office conducts work for numerous clients in New England, such as the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District, U. S. Navy, Pilot Travel Centers LLC, Shell Oil Products U. S., and several Massachusetts communities.

Built in the 1880s, Foxborough State Hospital was shuttered in 1976 at a time when the state was deinstitutionalizing mental health care. Various agencies used the complex until the state declared it surplus in 1993. In 2002, state and town officials finalized a reuse plan for the site, and Town Meeting approved related zoning changes. Vinco acquired the property and began redeveloping the hospital campus for mixed use.
